Positive Reviews

Beautiful retreat

Guests say that the Wyvill Arms Leyburn is a beautiful retreat in Yorkshire Dales. The charming model of a railway engine running around a track just below the ceiling adds to the ambience of the inn. Since the inn is placed opposite Constable Burton Caravan Park on the Bedale to Leyburn Road, it offers lovely views of the open countryside to the rear. There are plenty of gardens and country houses to visit with amazing sceneries. Guests say they can take enjoyable walks that can range from easy to energetic.

Helpful staff; meals par excellence

The staff is accommodating and helpful. The staff members tune in early cyclists who want to head out early and get a well prepared breakfast ready for them. The full English breakfast for the more relaxed guests is also splendid.  The meals at the restaurant of the inn are par excellence. Guests say that all the courses are top class and the desserts delicious and well presented. The portions served are large and hot. Pre-ordered wines are present before hand on the table booked by the guests. The service is efficient and at the same time friendly.

Well appointed rooms; convenient parking

Guests say that the rooms are done in calming tones giving them a relaxed feeling. They are well equipped, spotlessly maintained and traditionally furnished. Guests say the four-poster beds are vastly comfortable and the shower is very modern. Guests find the large car park onsite a great convenience.
