Positive Reviews

Amazing staff on reception

There are some fabulous reviews about the reception staff upon arrival who make you feel very welcome from the moment you walk through the door. The family who run the pub are always on hand and make a huge effort to personally book you in.

Very good food

The restaurant is well-known in the area and the comments from those who have dined here rate the menu highly. They serve sizzling steaks, fish and chips and classic seafood dishes. The prices are also described as being very reasonable.

Beautiful scenery

The surrounding countryside and the coast attracts many people to this area. Guests have left reviews explaining how beautiful it is and this can be seen from most of the bedrooms when spending the night.

Negative Reviews

Waiting staff are very slow

Unfortunately as good as the food is, the waiting staff seem to be rather slow. Many guests have reviewed the service and have explained they waited a considerable amount of time for their meal, had to ask for drinks which took a lot of time to arrive and were not asked if the meal was ok.

Noisy at night

As the rooms are above the pub, noise can be heard through the evening. Guests who have stayed directly above the bar area have said it can be noisy until late into the morning when they have functions on.

No lift

There are steep stairs to climb to get to the bedrooms and no lift is supplied. There are comments from unhappy guests who have had large suitcases and have struggled to get to their rooms. This of course means there is no disabled access either.
