Positive Reviews

In the centre of things

The immediate area is home to numerous shops and restaurants. All guests, though, admit to heading for the busy market, Pasar Payang. It is only a few hundred yards away and is open from early morning, so there are bargains waiting for early risers. China Town is also nearby and is another feature that is rated highly by guests. Those in search of a traditional breakfast need only step outside to sample Nasi Dagang which consists of rice, eggs, and fish curry.

Efficient staff

Members of staff are extremely friendly and helpful. In the event of reporting a problem in the room, guests say that the staff is on to it straight away and a quick solution is found.

Rooms are clean

Rooms are reported to be clean and contain the essentials such as a reliable supply of hot water. There are two buildings here and depending on where the room is allocated, they are described as being sparkling new. It is good that the room includes a safe box.

Negative Reviews

Too many stairs for elderly guests

There are three floors here and the stairs are thought, by guests, to be quite steep and not suited to elderly people or those who are not in the best of health. There is no lift, but guests appreciate that this is a budget hotel, so one can’t be expected.

Accommodation is cramped

Rooms are considered to be quite cramped and better suited to single, rather than two-person occupancy. Pillows come in for criticism too and they are thought to be too hard for western tastes. Soundproofing between the rooms is another problem in the hotel.

Disappointed drivers

Parking facilities are really limited to street parking and finding a space can be tricky.
