About Kenmore Hotel

Part of the Aurora Hotel Collection, the Kenmore Hotel Hotel in Perthshire, provides guest accommodation in en-suite rooms and in luxury lodges.

Rooms at the Kenmore Hotel are individually decorated and furnished to include tea and coffee facilities, complimentary toiletries, Wi-Fi, hairdryer and telephone.  Lodges offer kitchen and lounge areas and a sense of independence for guests who may still enjoy access to hotel facilities.

Free parking is available and communal areas, significantly, include facilities for business meetings, social events and wedding receptions.

Following breakfast choices, The Grill Room offers an extensive dining menu and the lounge and Poet’s Bar are relaxing areas enjoying access to draught beers, malt whiskies and liqueur coffees.  Alternative dining venues, locally, include the Taymouth Marina Restaurant.

Set in the Perthshire Highlands, the village of Kenmore Hotel and the hotel itself are east of loch Tay and south of the River Tay.

Positive Reviews

Helpful staff.

Very welcoming and armed with all the information you need, they are enthusiastic in their wish that you should enjoy all aspects of your visit.

Dog friendly.

This area is a paradise for ‘walkies’ mad dogs. Hardly surprising, then, that the hotel promotes itself as being dog friendly.

Food + drink.

The bar is really friendly and welcoming and whisky drinkers will love the choices on offer. Restaurant food is OK but if it doesn’t appeal to you, try the restaurant just across the bridge. Great value!

Negative Reviews

Don’t tell the tourist.

If they’ve got a wedding reception here, be prepared for your dining and drinking requests to be sidelined in favour of the cash cow that is the wedding reception.

Lodging a complaint.

Think twice about these so called luxury lodges. Specify the accommodation in advance or risk ending up in a block of terraced former council houses! Luxury, they ain’t!

Location is the winner.

You can’t beat this superb location and it’s this aspect that creates rose coloured glasses in assessing the hotel itself. In the cold light of day, it’s got quite a few rough edges and wouldn’t fare very well in a less attractive environment.
