Dated decors.

Although many appreciated the old-world charm of the hotel, some guests said that the rooms were starting to show their age and would benefit from modernisation.

Lack of hospitality trays.

Guests who wanted to make themselves a hot drink in their rooms were disappointed to find that there were no tea and coffee making facilities in their suites and that they had to go to the bar instead to order a drink.

Basic showers.

Some guests were disappointed to find old-fashioned hand held showers in the bathrooms which they said were quite cumbersome to use and also objected to the rather weak water pressure.
