The Ardens is a smart boutique hotel, nestling in the secluded area of Johor Bahru, near Austin Heights golf course and water park.

Its 20 rooms, whilst compact, exude style and flair. They are decorated with plush bedding and are equipped with rain showers and floor to window ceilings. Each comes with air-conditioning, a safe, a desk and a 32-inch flat-screen TV.

The Ardens offers free Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and parking. There is also a 24-hour front desk and games room.

Guests can treat themselves to complimentary drinks and snacks in the all-day dining area. There is also a selection of restaurants and eateries in Austin Heights, such as Sushi Zento, a 16-minute walk from the hotel.

The Angry Birds theme park is 13 kilometres from the hotel, whilst the Hello Kitty theme park, Legoland and Senai International Airport can be reached in about half an hour by car.

Classy design hotel

Guests love the fact that for a relatively affordable price they can enjoy the luxury of staying in such a trendy boutique hotel. The place simply oozes elegance, is beautifully decorated, and has a comfy, new feel to it.

Excellent cafe

The hotel's cafe is a big favourite with guests. They can't get enough of its top quality french-style cuisine and delicious breakfasts.

Immaculate appearance

The striking thing about this hotel is just how sparkling clean it is. Guests are particularly impressed with the good condition of the toilets!

Negative Reviews

The hotel is a bit remotely located

The main problem you may have with this hotel is where it is situated. There is nothing really in the neighbourhood around – no shops nor restaurants - there's not even any food stands! Guests advise that you really have to have a car, as the area is very difficult to access by public transport.

Poor sound proofing

Its all very well and good having a beautifully designed room, but if you hear every noise your neighbours make, you're not going to feel much at ease. Guests say the hotel's soundproofing is dreadful.

Small rooms

You may find the hotel's rates to seem relatively reasonable to start with. That is until you see the size of the rooms – then you may swiftly change your mind. Guests warn that the bedroom are very small and wonder if they are paying over the odds for the limited surface area they have been allocated.
