About The Talbot

Once a busy coaching inn on the fringe of Blackmore Vale, today The Talbot is a popular village pub offering lodgings and dining. The property is just a 15-minute drive from Shaftesbury.

Guests can pick from six private rooms, most of which feature an en-suite bathroom, although some require the use of shared facilities. A TV and tea and coffee-making facilities are included in all, and one room includes a balcony. A family suite can also be booked.

On-site car parking is provided. Guests can sit and relax in the courtyard or enjoy the regularly scheduled live music.

The pub restaurant offers a menu of British favourites, while the bar features a cosy fireplace and extensive drink options. Breakfast is served daily, with an in-room breakfast hamper available for early-leavers.

The Talbot is a five-minute walk from the historic St. Mary’s Church, and five minutes’ drive from Hod Hill and Hambledon Hill, both popular sites with local hikers and ramblers.
