Positive Reviews

Excellent food.

You can quite see where the hotel’s high rating comes from; meals, including breakfast, are in a class of their own and it’s all helped along the way, in no small measure, by the friendly and efficient staff. No matter how busy they get, the service never falters.

Magnificent rooms.

Of course, if you can 'nab' a room with a view over the Marina, you’ve got an added bonus but, generally, they are beautifully decorated and furnished + those copper baths have an unusual appeal! The quality of this place shines through in everything they do. Even items ordered via Room Service are extra special.

Helpful staff.

A major factor in the appeal of this hotel; the staff even help unload luggage from the car. Something you don’t see very often today.

Negative Reviews

A kick in the teeth.

We always forget something when we go away, probably a toothbrush? That’s OK - Reception will certainly ‘sell’ you one, but when working out the cost per tooth, you may want to chew on the proposal first – before getting one much cheaper, somewhere else!

Breakfast cost is difficult to swallow.

The cost of staying here is quite hefty and to raid the overdraft further for the cost of breakfast is not an easy option to digest. Surely, they can put together an all inclusive package.

The hotel website.

It’s quite shocking and frustrating to navigate. Leading to user despair, this isn’t the reaction that any hotel wants to see.
