Positive Reviews

Inspiring setting.

Ilkley Riverside certainly had its location going for it. This was considered one of the strong points by guests, who couldn't get enough of the river views and peaceful setting. The town centre was just a short walk away, and anglers and walkers rejoiced at the many nearby opportunities to do what they loved to do.

Pets? No problem.

Bring your furry friend to this bed and breakfast, and they will be treated like a valued guest. Visitors were pleased to find that they didn't have to leave their pets at home, and could even take dogs for an under the table nap at the bar.

Great bar ambiance.

A wood-burning fire and a stellar line-up of pub classics wooed many guests from the moment they sat down. And what's better than being able to have a pint, followed by a few short steps to your room?

Negative Reviews

Some rooms might be cramped.

Not every room at this hotel was on the small side, but some definitely were. Guests would have liked more space to move around. And the absence of a guests lounge meant that quarters sometimes felt even smaller.

Mixed breakfast reviews.

Many guests were satisfied with the cooked to order breakfast that was included in the room price. However, a large number of guests had unfavourable reviews of slow service, and a bland and basic offering.

A few concerns.

Guests had a list of complaints that detracted from their experience. Some were tasked with trying to sleep on hard mattresses, while others had to contend with a weak shower at times. Thin walls were also a problem for a few, and several guests said that a towel upgrade was in order if they were to return.
