Warm, Friendly and Helpful Staff

Guests reported feeling the warmth from staff within seconds of entering the building. They're quick to greet guests and quick to get them set up in their rooms. Staff members are attentive and so helpful that nothing is too much for them. They are always asking if everything is ok and if there is anything else they can do.

Fantastic Pool and Beach Areas

The pool area is spacious with many poolside amenities and it is kept spotless and well-maintained. For guests who prefer to spend time at the beach, there is one within walking distance.

Excellent Food and Service in the Restaurant

There is no need to leave Amfora Hvar to eat because the restaurant has an extensive menu to cater to everyone. The food is fresh, well-prepared and plentiful and it's always served with a smile from friendly staff.

Negative Reviews

Guest Rooms are Small and Dark

The rooms are so small that it's hard to move around and there is nowhere to store belongings. The rooms are also dark due to poor lighting and lack of natural light. Guests also reported frayed towels, malfunctioning showers that spray water everywhere, a damp smell, stains on ceilings, uncomfortable beds, sinks and tubs that don't drain properly and Wi-Fi that doesn't work.

It is Noisy Around the Hotel

Guests reported a lot of noise around the hotel particularly from the loud, drunken college students who party well into the morning. Also reported was a lack of soundproofing that means guests can hear every door slam and every conversation going on in the hallway and in nearby rooms.

Staff is indifferent and Unhelpful

Guests reported that some staff members seem indifferent towards guests and their needs. They rarely know the answer to any questions they are asked, they don't do anything extra for guests to make their stay more enjoyable and they become defensive when problems arise.
