Positive Reviews

Amazing location by the river.

You will certainly be wowed by the riverside setting of this hotel with its lovely beer garden right in front of the river’s edge. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a lovely lunch from the hotel restaurant or to relax in the evening over a beer or a glass of wine.

A good base for exploring the Broads.

The fact that you are on the doorstep of some fantastic countryside makes this a great base for those that like to explore or head off for afternoon walks. There are plenty of places to go for a hike within easy walking distance of the hotel.

Nice staff have lots of tips.

The friendly staff at the hotel have plenty of advice for all of the guests and if you need some ideas on places to go then just ask. They are also quite helpful even if the hotel has some strange ideas about service.

Negative Reviews

Wi-Fi has a few glitches.

If you are expecting to do some work that requires an internet connection, you may feel a little frustrated at this hotel. There are times when you just can’t connect at all, and the phone signal is very poor indeed.

Not the best food in the restaurant.

The main courses are standard pub grub and not the tastiest while the breakfast in the morning is okay. If you want a better breakfast, you’ll have to pay for a cooked one which isn’t ideal but it’s not too expensive.

Beds need replacing.

Quite a few that have stayed here have noted that the beds could be comfier. They are not the worst beds in the world but if you want a perfect bed you’ll be a bit disappointed at this hotel.
