Positive Reviews

Excellent Countryside Accommodation

This spot is known for superb standards in all areas. A stunning venue, well-maintained and situated on expansive rolling hills of greenery. The continental and full Scottish breakfasts are delicious, served overlooking the lawns and friendly, grazing sheep, and evening meals in Hawick are reached within a short ten-minute ride of the hotel. If your SatNav fails you, watch for the large roadside signs to direct you in.

Cosy Rooms

Rooms are kept in immaculate condition, comfortable with tasteful décor. They differ quite a bit from one another in size and amenity, so get clarification at time of booking on the specific features of yours.

Top Notch Service

Hosts are friendly and welcoming, never too busy to answer a question or help out with suggestions on the area.

Negative Reviews

Too Much Stuff, Owners' Belongings

Most felt the accommodations were pleasant enough, but some areas were filled with an excessive number of old knick knacks. Others noted their dressers and wardrobes held the belongings of others (presumably the owners) and there was so much furniture stuffed into a few areas that it was difficult to pass through. Note to the Owners: Purge some of this stuff or clear a wider path through it.

Wi-Fi Woes

You may have trouble with the Wi-Fi on occasion; if it's late at night, the hosts may not be too concerned.

Breakfast Area

Breakfast is served in a living area where others may be watching television or socialising while you eat. This bothered some, but not many.
