About Hotel Palacio de Los Navas

The Hotel Palacio de Los Navas is housed in a tastefully restored 16th century mansion. While having thoroughly modern facilities, the original features still shine through, adding to the sense of history one feels in Granada.

In-room air conditioning is a boon during the blazing Andalusian summers. Rooms also feature flat screen TV’s with international channels, minibars and safes.

Despite being fairly small, the hotel aims to offer comprehensive services. The reception is open 24 hours, Wi-Fi is available throughout, and there are delightful places to retreat from the midday heat - with a cool drink in hand.

Breakfast is served on-site, but for other meals Navas Street, right outside, is renowned for its tapas bars and restaurants.

The Hotel Palacio de Los Navas is centrally located, and is the ideal base when visiting the incredible Alhambra, the Cathedral and the Royal Chancellery.

Positive Reviews

Great location for restaurants and nightlife

The hotel is right on Navas Street, in the heart of Granada's nightlife. Tapas bars are rated as especially good, and certainly popular with travellers, but there are also more traditional restaurants, and of course nightclubs.

Boutique hotel, in size and atmosphere

Many guests love the fact that this isn't a huge hotel. Its intimate size allows for thoughtful personal touches, like a plate of fresh fruit being presented on checking in on a hot summer's day.

Beautiful historic building

Guests comment on the beauty of the historic building itself. While this is somewhat to be expected in Granada, since it is such a well preserved ancient city, it is nonetheless pleasant to be in a well-restored historic gem.

Negative Reviews

Street noise, especially at weekends

While the location is fantastic for nightlife and sightseeing, there is clearly a price to pay. The most mentioned downside is that street noise can be a major issue. The rooms do not seem to be well sound proofed, and at weekends the bars are jumping until four AM. For guests who are sleeping (rather than in the bar) this can obviously be a problem.

Breakfast room a bit small

There are not many complaints about the breakfast itself, but the room it is served in is described as much too small (and a bit dingy) for the number of guests.

Small rooms

Guests seem to be in two minds about whether this is a genuine complaint. They comment that to them the rooms absolutely do seem too small, but acknowledge that the hotel is housed in a historic building in the centre of an ancient city. Small rooms are pretty much the norm in these circumstances.
