About Middlewick Holiday Cottages

Situated in a great spot overlooking Glastonbury Tor, Middlewick Holliday Cottages offers elegant accommodation to guests looking to stay at the very heart of Arthurian legend.

All rooms are housed in painstakingly restored 16th century farm buildings. Each is self contained and features fully equipped kitchen and separate sleeping and lounge/dining areas. Some even have biomass heating systems, fireplaces, dishwashers and washing machines.

The most appreciated feature at Middlewick is undoubtedly the heated indoor pool and steam room, terrific on a cold winter’s day. On site parking is free, as is Wi-Fi, which is available throughout.

There are no on-site dining options, but those not self catering may ask the hosts for good local dining recommendations.

Glastonbury Tor shouldn’t be missed, and is just 1.7 miles from Middlewick on foot. Evocative Glastonbury Abbey is about two miles away.

Positive Reviews

Great open view to the Tor

Naturally, most guests were in the area to visit Glastonbury, and maybe absorb some of the Arthurian, and other, legends that are so intimately associated with this area. To this end, they were very happy to be on a property that offered lovely open and pastoral views towards Glastonbury Tor. It gave them a sense of being in the midst of the legends themselves.

The luxury of the indoor pool

Guests really seemed to enjoy using the indoor pool. It was certainly regarded as a bit of a luxury, especially considering the historical nature of the property, and its rural location. Some did wish that it stayed open later, but most were perfectly happy with their experience.

Kitchens really are fully equipped

While it doesn't seem most guests really made much use of them, the few who did were very happy with the equipment and utensils provided in the kitchen. They certainly felt they had what they needed to prepare any meal they wished to.
