Positive Reviews

Professional staff members

The members of staff at this hostel provide a high standard of service. Guests report that they were impressed with the friendly welcome they received and that help was always available when required.

Good location

Guests like the fact that this hostel is located just a short walk from the beach. They also mention that there are several restaurants within walking distance which is handy. It’s also possible to reach the centre of Galway on foot, taking half an hour or so; alternatively it’s just a short taxi ride away.

Great complimentary breakfast

Guests really enjoy the free continental breakfast served in this hostel. It includes fresh pastries, granola, fruit and yogurt amongst other delicious items, with some ingredients sourced locally. All in all, it makes a great start to the day.

Negative Reviews

Check out too early

Guests mention that they found the early check out time quite inconvenient. There is an option to extend the deadline by a couple of hours but this incurs an extra fee. So, when booking, you may wish to pay this extra charge to avoid a rush on the morning of departure.

Cramped bathroom facilities

The bathrooms in this hostel are a little challenging with guests reporting that they found the facilities a bit too small for their liking. There is also a feeling that there aren’t enough bathrooms per floor to cope with demand at times.

Limited on-site parking spaces

There are only a few on-site parking spaces which soon fill up. Although this can be an inconvenience, guests mention that there are also parking spaces available on the road, so generally it doesn’t prove to be too much of a problem.
