Positive Reviews

Quiet location

Guests tend to rate the location of the Corran Bunkhouse highly, describing it as quiet yet conveniently close to the ferry terminal. There's not much within walking distance but perhaps that's the point! With access to a car (or a good pair of hiking boots), you'll find yourself within easy reach of Fort William.

Clean and well kept bunkhouses

The quality of the bunkhouses is another one of the main appeals here. Guests report that they are not only clean and well kept but also that they offer a wide selection of handy amenities. There's a good chance that you'll want for very little here and it all comes at a low price too.

Excellent hospitality

Previous guests mention that they were on the receiving end of a very warm welcome - so friendly that some chose to extend their stay. The staff take the time to show guests around upon arrival and offer some great tips on how to make the most of your stay.

Negative Reviews

Some guests found Wi-Fi problematic

Several guests mention that they were unable to get a Wi-Fi signal in their room or anywhere within the bunkhouse they were allocated. The signal does seem to be freely available in the reception area.

No convenience store nearby

As this is a self-catering property, you'll be expected to bring your own supplies. That's fair enough, but guests do point out that due to the lack of a convenience store in the area, it's a fairly lengthy trek to get something as simple as fresh milk.

Small rooms

A number of guests mention that the individual rooms are small to the point of being cramped. That said, this didn't tend to detract from their overall satisfaction during their stay. Head outside to explore the vast landscape and you'll be just fine!
