Positive Reviews

Small hotel means big service.

Because this is a family-run hotel, the service is personal and all-encompassing. The staff will make you feel right at home and are happy to accommodate most any request as well as pointing you in the direction of local sights and eateries.

The views are gorgeous.

Almost every guest room at Hawthorne Dene offers you stunning views of the Bay. If you want this feature, be sure to specify upon booking.

Home away from home.

The guest rooms and public spaces are very warm and inviting, making you feel like you’ve taken a step back in time. Settle in with a book in the cosy library which has a roaring fire going in the colder weather, or enjoy a drink in the hotel’s inviting l

Negative Reviews

There’s no restaurant here.

Hawthorne Dene serves breakfast only, but there are dozens of wonderful places to dine on nearby Falmouth. Be sure to ask the hotel staff for recommendations.

Pets are not allowed.

Other than service animals, pets are not allowed here. This is unfortunate for those who like to travel with their favourite canine companion.

Things can get noisy.

If it’s a quiet night’s sleep you’re after, you may want to book a room at the back of the hotel. Noise from the road can get loud, especially at night. However, you may be trading your view of the Bay for that quieter room.
