Positive Reviews

Fantastically designed

It’s old meets new in this contemporary hotel There is certainly no mistaking that the building has a place in history, but the rooms and facilities are so well designed that they fit perfectly with the old façade.

A captivating pool

An outdoor pool and English hotel may not seem like the best of combinations, but this hotel has a superbly designed half in/half out pool. You can move from the warmth of the indoor pool to the fresh air and back again. It’s been called the most refreshing. experience a hotel can offer.

A great variety of meals

Mealtimes are an exciting time as each dish is prepared in the theatre kitchen The menu changes daily so every meal throws up more delectable dishes to sample It’s even kid friendly too with a special menu for the little ones.

Negative Reviews

Spa not very well-equipped

With no steam room or sauna in the spa, some guests have been left disappointed Although the treatments on offer have all been regarded as first class, the lack of better facilities is something to take into account.

Not the greatest service

The service at this hotel has been known to be a bit lacking from time to time and although there is a great buzz in the lounge and bar, waiting for drinks is not something any guest enjoys.

Rooms for rabbits

The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped but have been likened to rabbit holes given their size If you are in search of luxury, then you have found it, but that luxury comes at the cost of a spacious room Not a major problem if you only intend to sleep there.
