Positive Reviews

Staff and service is second to none

You can expect the 5-star treatment as a guest at this hotel It’s not uncommon for staff members to call you by name—and remember it for the duration of your stay Elegant turn down service and personal touches from management make this resort a special and memorable experience.

The cuisine is outstanding

Award-winning chef, Noel McMeel, is behind the mastery of cuisine served at the resort For a special dining experience, book a table at The Catalina Restaurant, which serves fresh, seasonal dishes made with local produce The resort is a participant in Good Food Ireland, and therefore committed to promoting indigenous Irish cuisine and promoting local, artisan food producers.

Luxury at every turn

Luxury begins on the drive up to the resort, where you can take in the incredible views surrounding you Most of the rooms have panoramic views as well But perhaps what makes this hotel such a delight, is the attention paid to every detail of your stay The robes and slippers, plus bed linens and room furnishings, are made of rich materials kept in excellent condition Whether you’re dining or playing a round of golf on the course, you’ll feel like a VIP at this resort.

Negative Reviews

It’s a pricey experience

There is no such thing as an inexpensive stay here, but overall the experience is worthy of the price tag From food costs in the restaurants to room rates, you can expect to dole out a significant amount for this luxury resort.

Room temperature runs warm

There have been several complaints due to the temperature in the rooms Rooms feel quite warm and toasty, and there isn’t a thermostat to control the temperature in your room Calling attention to this matter should alleviate the situation promptly.

More suited to couples than families

All things considered, this resort offers a romantic, relaxing escape that meets the most discriminating standards That said, it may not be the most appropriate or fun environment for small children, and it can be pricey for families as well. On the contrary, if you do bring children, consider a lodge or suite for more space and room to roam.
