Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre (Hawes, United Kingdom)

Located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre receives over 200,000 visitors every year. Here you can find a museum, viewing gallery, specialist cheese shop and a fully licensed restaurant. A guided tour of the factory is also possible. The museum covers the history of the Wensleydale Cheese over the centuries, whilst the viewing gallery enables visitors to see the cheese being made. The visitor centre is open daily from 9am until 5pm Monday to Saturday and 9.30am until 4.30pm on Sunday. The length of the tour varies between 30 and 90 minutes depending on what stages of processing the cheese is at. The optimum time for viewing the cheese being made is normally between 10am and 3pm. There is an admission charge of £3 (4.5 Euros) for adults.
