T4 on the Beach is a music event that takes place on Weston-super-Mare’s beach. The one day festival was established at its current venue in 2005 although it replaced a previous event called Pop Beach that took place at Great Yarmouth. The festival is televised by Channel 4 who sponsor the event. The festival is aimed predominantly at 16-24 year olds and attracts around 40,000 people. The music genre is pop, hip hop and alternative rock. In addition to the main stage there are also smaller lesser known acts, many of which are unsigned. T4 on the Beach takes place on the first Saturday of July and ticket prices are in the range £30-£35.
