Stormont Estate is a state-owned land where prominent main government or parliament buildings are situated and accessible to the public the whole year round. These buildings include the Parliament Buildings, Stormont Castle, Castle Building, Stormont House, Dundonald House, Maynard Sinclair Pavilion, and Craigantlet Buildings. This 405-acre lot has parkland and woodland that allows visitors to walk or hike around within the estate’s designated public area. There are two main walk and fitness trails in the estate’s public area which consist of approximately 2300 metres and 4000 metres distance routes showcasing some of the wildlife habitat, flowering plants and trees. The parkland has a secured (with CCTV cameras) children’s playground, including seats, picnic tables, and barbecue facilities. The estate is open as early as 7:30am and closes at 9pm, depending on daylight hours.
