Phuket Sea Shell Museum (Rawai Beach, Thailand)

Phuket Seashell Museum er et privateid museum, og ligger ved Rawai Beach i Phuket. Museet sies å inneha verdens mest verdifulle skjell, og man kan se ca 2000 arter, 380 millioner år gamle fossiler og en av verdens mest sjeldne perle, nemlig “The golden pearl” som er på 140 Karat. Skjellene som er på utstilling her, kommer både fra områdene rundt Thailand, og resten av verden. Utstillingene er veldig pent satt opp, og det er så mye å se og studere her. Det er også en souvernirshop her, hvor man kan kjøpe ulike skjell og smykker laget av skjell. Inngangen til museet koster : Voksne : 200 baht. Barn : 100 baht. Åpningstider : Hele uken 08:00 - 19:00 STENGT på nasjonale dager Museet ligger på Wiset Road, på motsatt side av inngangen til Evason Phuket Resort & Spa, mellom Chalong og Rawai. Man kan nesten ikke unngå å se det høye skiltet som står utenfor museet. Ikke noe problem å få transport til museet. Bare huk tak i en tuk tuk, eller taxi og si hvor du skal.
