Palma Aquarium (Playa de Palma, Spain)

Palma Aquarium consists of 55 different aquariums located with an area of 40,000m2 of gardens. Each area has been designed to resemble a specific eco system with native plants and vegetation. Habitats include the Mediterranean region and the tropical rain forests. Marine life that can be found here include animals from the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. The Big Blue is Europe’s deepest aquarium and has a glass observation area where visitors can see over 200 different species of marine life including rays and sharks. Turtle beach is the name of another area within the complex and throughout the park there are interactive sections to keep the younger visitors entertained. Facilities at Palma Aquarium include three restaurants and cafes and a gift shop. It is accessible by disabled visitors and opening times and admission charges can be found on the website.
