About Taunton House

Taunton House is a stunning Purbeck stone villa right in the heart of town. Built in 1866 we have lovingly restored the house, bringing it up to date with flat screen TVs and WiFi while maintaining its Victorian charm and restoring many original features. Taunton House provides spacious and comfortable accommodation. With prior arrangement, the property welcomes well behaved dogs that are happy around other dogs and there is no additional charge. However, we ask for a cash deposit on arrival. This will be fully refunded at checkout if no extra cleaning or maintenance is required in your room.
