Hotel Sun Hill Cottage (Cowes, United Kingdom)

Set across the road from the beach the guests appreciated the cottage for it’s location, and the ability to make the most of what the Isle of Wight had to offer, not to mention the township of Cowes.

The rooms of the cottage are quite large, allowing guests plenty of room to spread out.

The hotel is kept clean and tidy, making for a welcoming arrival for guests, with a sense of homeliness that guests appreciated.

Due to the nature of this small accommodation, guests are not greeted by a host at the cottage but rather given directions on how to come and go as they please, and use the facilities. Some guests found this off-putting, especially when they needed questions answered.

While some guests found their night’s sleep suitable, others found either the beds to be too hard, creaky or uncomfortable blankets.

While some might see an old charm in the Sun Hill Cottage, others see simply daggy, retro accommodation. Guests felt the décor was tiring and worn out in places.
