Hotel Son Matias Beach - Adults Only (Palmanova, Spain)

The Son Matias Beach hotel with a recent renovation has spectacular views of the Palma Nova bay. It is a perfect holiday destination for adults looking for fun, frolic, entertainment and a relaxing stay by the beach. The hotel is only 50 metres from the bus stop, bars, shops and restaurants. Two water parks are around two kilometres from it.

The rooms at the hotel are all air conditioned. They are wonderfully designed with either terrace or balcony, all providing lovely views of the sea. The standard rooms can be upgraded to a junior suite which has additional facilities of a plasma television and two balconies. Every room has a fridge, satellite television, hair dryer and tea makers. Bathrooms have shower or bath.

The hotel accommodates only adults. They have facilities of an outdoor pool fringed with palm trees and with a heated whirl pool. The terrace has sun loungers with comfortable cushions for guests to spend many relaxing hours. Evenings bring in entertainment programs featuring alternate cabaret, dancing, music, professional acts and much more. Food is a delight with the all day buffet restaurant that serves British to Spanish cuisine. Dining can be done in the al fresco terrace area with beach views. There is a seasonal pool side bar which serves snacks and drinks and a lobby bar where guests can relax in front of the television or view the entertainment in the nights. The hotel is very environment friendly with facilities for recycling on all floors.

The hotel gets extremely busy in high season and elderly guests find the noise and buzz irritable and irksome as everything including cleaning of rooms is tardy.

There is a constant queue for sun loungers, right from early in the morning.

The food is a disappointment for non meat eaters as the fish is non palatable and the choice of vegetarian dishes is awful.
