The facilities at the Royal Heights Resort are clearly well-maintained and looked after. The gym is well equipped, the outdoor swimming pools are spotless, and the fitness club is sought-after.

Because the hotel is nestled on the hills, guests can enjoy the breathtaking view of Malia. From that high location, you can also see the mountain, the sea, and other nearby cities. You can enjoy all of these marvelous views from the balcony of your room, or while having a dip in the Jacuzzi or the outdoor pool.

Walking to reach the city could take you 20 to 30 minutes. Renting a car or taking a taxi could be expensive. There are no bus stops or nearby train stations. This could be a problem if you’re not fond of walking or if you’re on a tight budget.

Wi-Fi connection in the lobby and in all public areas is slow. When you opt to pay for Internet connection in the room, you might be disappointed for having the same unreliable connection.

While the LCD TV works perfectly well, the channels it broadcasts are limited to Italian and French only. There are no English-speaking channels, which could be an issue for guests who just want to stay in their rooms and rest.
