Positive Reviews
positive:
Quiet location, but still close to the action
Guests commented that the location of the resort, just a short way from Patong's beach and entertainment district, provided them with the best of both worlds. They were close enough to enjoy these without any transport hassles, but far enough away not to be affected by the noise.
positive:
The pool is a big hit
While certainly expected at a resort like this, many guests nevertheless mention that they thoroughly enjoyed the pool and gardens at the hotel, calling them especially lovely. It was even mentioned that they had good “Qi” in the Feng Shui sense.
positive:
Staff speak excellent English
Several English speaking visitors comment on the excellent English language skills displayed by the staff. These guests didn't feel like there was much “lost in translation”, and felt understood at all times.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Roundabout route to the beach
A few guests commented that the direct route from the resort to the beach has been cut off, and you must now go quite a long way round. It is result of building works at a neighbouring property (late 2015), and the hotel does put on a shuttle, but guests nevertheless did find it quite annoying.
negative:
Problems with the showers and bathtubs
Complaints about the showers and bathtubs were surprisingly common. The showers are designed in a way that floods the bathroom, while the bathtubs are described as both “odd”, and too small. In any event, many guests do not feel comfortable bathing in them
negative:
Low watt light bulbs used
Though a fairly common complaint with hotels, a number of guests felt that the bulbs in their rooms were simply not bright enough to do the job required. They gave the rooms a dim, half-lit, feel that they did not appreciate.
