Hotel Kayamaris (Marmaris, Turkey)

Whatever other issues they may have had with the hotel, pretty much all guests commenting on cleanliness said that the hotel was kept spotlessly clean at all times. This was true of the rooms and the public areas, and guests were relieved that they didn't need to worry about this at all.

Guests couldn't possibly praise the location any more. It is described as virtually on the beach, which was after all the reason many had come to Turkey. But aside from the beach, guests also said that all the cafes, bars and nightlife they wanted could be found in the surrounding streets.

While relations with the staff weren't always 100%, quite a few guests reported that they tended to have very good English skills. Guests did not typically have any trouble communicating their needs.

Reviews of the food from the two restaurants were very mixed. While some mentioned that it was fine, and to their taste, others complained that it was repetitive at best, and simply awful at worst. It truly does seem that standards vary over time, perhaps depending on which chef is on duty. In any event, all guests said that there are great restaurants nearby, so no guest would be stuck with what the hotel had to offer.

Curiously, this complaint came up a few times. Guests speak of waiters trying to remove their plates while they were still, quite literally, eating. They considered it both rude and quite bizarre.

Guests mention that the activity level at the hotel does tend to die down in the evening. While there is good nightlife nearby, there was none really to speak of at the hotel itself.
