Review summary

This AI-generated summary was based on reviews from multiple
sites

This hotel is highly regarded for its central location on the River Liffey, offering picturesque river views and a surprisingly quiet atmosphere despite its proximity to the city's vibrant core. Its signature feature is its ideal positioning, making it a perfect base for exploring Dublin. Guests consistently highlight the hotel's cleanliness, generally comfortable rooms, and the exceptional service provided by the staff. It is well-suited for sightseers and business travelers due to its accessibility to major attractions and the Convention Centre. Couples appreciate the serene river views and walkable access to dining and entertainment, while families find the spacious rooms and convenient transit options beneficial. To enhance your stay, consider requesting a room with a river view, though be mindful that some areas may experience noise from ongoing construction.

Facilities & Amenities
The hotel offers a range of convenient facilities that enhance the guest experience. A well-equipped fitness center is available for those wishing to maintain their workout routine. Guests also appreciate the on-site self-service laundry facilities, which are particularly useful for longer stays, though tokens are required for use. For quick refreshments, there is a coffee shop serving items like croissants, and a self-service shop offering snacks. While the gym is generally considered decent, some guests note it can be small. The presence of these amenities adds to the overall convenience, catering to various needs during a stay.

Cleanliness & Room Comfort
Guests generally find the rooms to be clean, spotless, and modern, with a sleek appearance. Most guests report the beds are comfortable, wide, and conducive to a good night's sleep, though some have found them to be hard or noted feeling springs, and a few mentioned thin pillows. Rooms are often described as spacious and equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge. Bathrooms are typically spacious with good showers, though some older rooms may have outdated features or issues with water pressure. While many rooms are remarkably quiet due to effective double windows and blackout shades, some guests have experienced noise from street traffic, nearby construction (especially at night), or internal sources like lifts/heating and adjoining rooms.

Dining & Food Quality
The hotel's breakfast consistently receives high praise, described as good, delicious, and excellent with a great variety of options. Guests particularly enjoy the full Irish breakfast, made-to-order omelettes, waffles, fresh fruit, and scones. However, some guests have noted limited vegan options or the availability of plant-based milk, and during peak times, there can be insufficient coffee machines. The on-site restaurant menu is sometimes perceived as having limited variety or not meeting expectations for food quality, though some guests have enjoyed specific items like pizza. The bar area is appreciated for its drinks selection and the attentiveness of the staff, though some find the space to be small or lacking in atmosphere.

Location & Accessibility
The hotel boasts a highly central location on the River Liffey, providing pleasant river views from many rooms. It offers easy walking access to numerous key attractions, including the city centre, Temple Bar, Trinity College, O'Connell Street, and Grafton Street, typically within a 10-15 minute stroll. It is also conveniently close to the EPIC Museum, the Convention Centre, the 3Arena, and the Bord Gais Theatre. For transit, the hotel is exceptionally well-connected, with the Dublin Express bus stop (for airport transfers) located directly outside or very nearby. Additionally, it is a short walk to Connolly Train Station and a Luas tram stop, facilitating easy exploration of the wider city. Parking is available nearby in a connected facility, though guests note it can be expensive.

Staff & Service
The staff at this hotel are consistently commended for their friendly, helpful, welcoming, and attentive demeanor. Many guests highlight the professional and accommodating approach of the front desk team. The check-in process is frequently described as quick, with staff often facilitating early check-in for arriving guests. While most experiences are positive, some guests have reported instances of slow check-in or perceived unhelpful attitudes. Beyond the front desk, staff are noted for assisting with luggage storage, arranging taxi services, providing room upgrades, and even helping with practical needs like printing boarding passes or finding charging cords. Housekeeping is also recognized for its attentiveness in maintaining room cleanliness.

Additional Information
The hotel is a popular choice for tour groups, which can sometimes lead to busy periods. Guests should be aware that a deposit is typically required upon check-in. While generally well-maintained, there have been isolated incidents related to room maintenance, such as a detached bathtub panel, which the management has handled attentively, offering resolutions like room changes or compensation. The hotel has been undergoing renovations in certain areas, which some guests have noted can cause minor noise, though efforts are made to minimize disruption. The hotel also offers a rewards program that can provide benefits such as room upgrades for eligible members.
