Chalet Hôtel du Bois (Les Houches, France)

The hotel is close to the ski bus which transports guests across the Chamonix valley to the various ski areas and the Les Houches ski fields is only a five minutes away.  Many guests stayed at the hotel for a ski holiday and mentioned its location as the best aspect of their stay.

The staff at the hotel rated highly across a number of complimentary reviews. This family run hotel creates a home away from home feeling and many guests commented that this was the highlight of their stay.

Some guests who stayed at this hotel were really impressed by its amenities with may enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the bar area and others commenting on the excellent pool area. Guests also commented on how convenient the free parking was at the hotel.

Some guests who ate at the on-site restaurant complained that the food served was not of a good quality and that they would have preferred meals made from fresh local produce rather than processed or pre-pared meals.

Some guests were not at all happy with the cleaning that was undertaken at the hotel, with some commenting that the common areas in particular were dirty and had a musty smell.  Some guests also commented that they felt that the hotel was showing signs of wear and tear and was very run down and in need of some upgrades.

A number of guests who rely on Wi-Fi as entertainment during their holidays were disappointed in the service provided by the hotel as it was slow and unreliable.  Some guests were also frustrated that the Wi-Fi was also only available in common areas and not in the rooms.
