Located in a peaceful olive grove, in the hills just above Almirida Beach, Almirida Bay is a resort style property offering comfortable accommodation, breathtaking views of the Med and excellent leisure amenities. Rooms available range from standard to deluxe, with the deluxe rooms being larger, better decorated and in a different building. They all have the facilities you’ll need for a great summer break, including air conditioning and satellite TV. Some even have private balconies with sea views. The resort has excellent leisure amenities, including a fantastic pool area, tennis courts and a tour desk that can arrange windsurfing, kayaking and other watersports. The in-house restaurant reflects the rich Greek culinary tradition, with most meals being buffets. Show cooking demonstrations are also often put on. Aside from the resort itself, guests spend a lot of their time on Almirida Beach, which is just 400 yards down the hill from Almirida Bay.
This was, by far, guest's favourite amenity at the resort. In fact, going by the reviews, it seemed even more popular than the nearby beach. Guests simply found the pool area to be lovely, with no complaints of a shortage of sun beds or other similar irritations reported.
Guests were very impressed with the quality of front office staff at the resort. They were not only said to be welcoming and friendly, traits one could perhaps reasonably expect in the hospitality industry, but also very helpful when it came to sorting out problems and giving local advice.
Guests had only praise for the groundskeepers, maintenance team and housekeeping staff. They reported that the resort was clearly very well looked after and kept spotlessly clean as well.
Quite a number of guests pointed put that the Wi-Fi only worked in a very small part of the resort, and certainly not in the rooms. Most said that they could get a signal only around the reception area and the pool, which they typically found very inconvenient.
Going by the many irate reviews, it seems that if English speakers wanted to watch a bit of TV, they had better like the above phrase, since BBC World was said to be pretty much the only English language channel available.
A number of guests mentioned that they were not impressed with the interior decoration of their room, saying it was extremely basic and had nothing to catch the eye.
