Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent views from the room balconies.
The Collingdale overlooks a park, the harbour and the sea, so you have a very pleasant and ever changing view from the rooms with balconies. If your room doesn’t have a balcony, the outside garden and downstairs lounge also have great views to gaze upon.
positive:
Staff happy to help and provide great advice.
The staff here are great at making you feel at home, and are full of advice on what to do in the town. If you need tips on where to eat and drink just ask somebody who works here.
positive:
Tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean.
This bed and breakfast is a fine example of how a small family run guest house can provide excellent accommodation. Well presented and very tidy, all the rooms are comfortable and elegantly styled.

negative:
Seriously small bathrooms bring this hotel down.
One of the main gripes with the rooms here has to be the size of the ensuite bathrooms. They really do not provide enough space, but do just about cover everything that you need.
negative:

This bed and breakfast is a narrow and tall building, with a steep staircase winding its way up through the floors. While the top rooms have the best views, with no lift walking up and down the stairs is sure to tire you out.
negative:
Free Wi-Fi service doesn’t reach all of the rooms.
If you really need to stay connected to the internet during your stay at The Collingdale be warned, the free Wi-Fi signal doesn’t reach some of the rooms. Ask at reception for a room that has a good Wi-Fi signal, or sit in the downstairs lounge for a good
