Guests state that the rooms are kept tidy and clean. Many also stated that the housekeeping staff were extra friendly and willing to replenish items upon request. Most speak English and are willing to help with directions.

If you really like historical sightseeing then this hotel is centrally located close to Fort Saint Elmo and St. John's Cathedral. You can easily get there with just a few minutes easy walk, and there are many shops and restaurants nearby as well. Most say it is a wonderful way to spend the day.

Guests most remark upon the extremely high ceilings in the rooms, which gives the rooms a feel of openness. Just a few minutes' walk from the seafront and a view of the water from the room have made many guests appreciate the area more.

While the hotel was renovated, there are still areas in the hotel that are in sore need of repair and maintenance. Tea kettles are in each room, but you will have to buy your own tea to go into them. Dinner and other meals must be taken at the adjoining hotel.

More than one guest has remarked on the disorganisation of the front desk and reservations. Overbooking is a frequent issue at this hotel. Travel insurance is probably a good idea, or even calling ahead to confirm with the hotel directly.

Guests repeatedly had problems getting their keys to work. This is because the sister property nearby also shares keys and they are often misappropriated.
