Positive Reviews

Expansive Beauty

The living quarters are a decent size. The bathroom is big with a large shower. There is a separate dressing room, and the furnishings are comfortable as well. The lounge in the house is quite large and its available during the day. The lounge faces south across the garden and you can view animals grazing and other nature.

Scrumptious Breakfast

The full English breakfast is great! The bacon is crisp, scrambled eggs are cooked perfectly and they come from the B&B's own free range chickens. The coffee is delicious and you can have as much breakfast as you want.

Get Out A Bit

There are a ton of things to see in the surrounding area. Check-out the Last Cafe in England, or drive to Jedburgh and view Mary Queen of Scots home, or take a drive through Keilder Forest. However, you do need a vehicle if you want to get around.

Negative Reviews

Hunting Overload

There are pictures and references to hunting all around the house, which can seem a bit creepy if you are an animal lover and find hunting troubling.

Hot Water Blues

You may find a notice by the tea and coffee making utensils requesting that you use water, such as filling the kettle, only as needed. Other notices may be in the bathroom about using the hot water. These notes can make visitors feel a bit edgy.

Dining For Everyone

Even though the breakfast is delicious, everyone eats at the same table. This may be an issue for some who prefer more privacy.
