Positive Reviews

You’ll get a great sense of tradition

As well as being a comfortable hotel, The Royal Scots Club is drenched in history Within this charming old building is plenty of interesting memorabilia from the Royal Scots Guards It gives the hotel real character and individuality and is fascinating for visitors who have an interest in history.

Well positioned and quiet - a great combination

The location is particularly good for accessing both the city centre and the Botanical Gardens Happily, even though it is just a short walk to the attractions, the hotel is in a very quiet terrace, with not much traffic flowing past it.

You’ll get a friendly Scottish welcome

Scotland might not be the hottest place, but the hotel staff are unquestionably warm, friendly and helpful.

Negative Reviews

Getting online can be quite difficult

The Wi-Fi at The Royal Scots Club isn’t great Getting online in the first place is tricky, as is staying there without interruption.

Don’t expect to be blown away by your shower

If you want to start your day with a powerful shower, you’ll be disappointed The flow of water is more of a dribble than a gush.

If you’re driving, expect to pay for parking

Be prepared if you’re driving There is no parking at the hotel This means you’ll have to find a spot at a car park in town Alternatively, there is some free street parking, but you might have to walk upwards of 30 minutes to the hotel from there Paid parking is available on the street outside the hotel.
