Positive Reviews

Outstanding Breakfast

You'll find a great fry up for the full English breakfast. Portions are generous and the food is piping hot. Guests say the food is delicious. This service is not included in the room rate, but guests say it's well worth the extra charge.

Pub Grub That Pleases

Guests rave about the pub's food. The homemade Yorkshire pudding comes highly recommended. Food arrives hot and there are plenty of choices, all well cooked and nicely presented.

Well-Appointed Guest Rooms

Rooms are spacious and comfortable, equipped to a high standard with comfy beds and all the essential amenities. Tastefully decorated rooms are quiet, and guests love that there is plenty of hot water for the shower.

Negative Reviews

Temperature Control Lacking

Rooms do not come with air conditioning and guests say they feel quite a bit warmer than the outside temperature. There is a pedestal fan, but that doesn't seem to be much help.

Cleanliness Issues

Some guests experienced rooms that didn't appear to have been cleaned after the previous guests. However, after reporting the issue to management, the guests were promptly moved to another room.

Where's the Luxury

This hotel is described as a luxury, boutique hotel, however, many guests say that although the rooms and facilities are adequate, they don't measure up to what they would call luxury status.
