About Queens

Queens is a historic Victorian hotel overlooking Eastbourne seafront. Popular with visiting coach trips, it’s just a short seven minute drive from The Royal Eastbourne Golf Club.

Some of the well appointed rooms here have sea views looking out over the English Channel, and all come equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, Freeview TV and a hairdryer.

Guests can relax outside on the terrace or kick back on a sofa in the sun room. There is also a dance floor and stage that regularly features live entertainment. Free Wi-Fi and car parking is provided here.

There are two hotel restaurants, each serving traditional British cuisine and international favourites. After dinner enjoy the warm atmosphere of the bar serving a wide range of refreshments.

Redoubt Fortress & Military Museum is a ten minute walk from Queens, and Beachy Head is just under four miles away.

Wonderful old building in fantastic location.

Queens Hotel was purpose built during the Victorian era and still remains one of the most impressive hotels in Eastbourne. Right on the seafront, you can easily walk down onto the beach or to the pier from here.

Lovely staff are always around to lend a hand.

The people who run this place are absolutely great at their jobs, they really know how to look after their guests. You'll feel welcome from the moment you arrive here.

Beautiful sea views from some of the rooms.

If you take a room facing out at the front of this hotel you'll be able to enjoy stunning views over the English Channel. Wake up early enough and you'll also be able to watch the sunrise over the horizon in front of you.

Negative Reviews

The creaky floorboards are a bit of a nuisance.

Many of the rooms and hallways in this hotel suffer from rather noisy creaking floorboards. These can be quite loud and disturbing, not just for you but for other guests in the hotel too, particularly the ones beneath where you are walking!

Restaurant meals here are not up to scratch.

The kitchen here isn't pulling its weight in comparison to the rest of the hotel. Meals served in the restaurant are a bit hit or miss, with some being fine while others are poor. There are plenty of other great restaurants nearby that you can dine in.

Some renovation inside the hotel is sorely needed.

Queens is a historic jewel on Eastbourne seafront but not enough is being done to keep it looking at its best. Some careful renovation work on the hotel interior would really help to keep this place in good shape.
