Positive Reviews

Superb and Adaptable Staff

The quality of the service by staff was found to be outstanding. A guest who arrived at 10 pm on a Sunday night found that they bent over backwards helping him order some food as he had just flown into the country and was 'starving'. This is an excellent hotel, as well as staff who are very pleasant and helpful the gardens, grounds and the hotel are delightful. Guests who asked for a late checkout were readily accommodated.

Family Friendly

The hotel is very much family friendly, the bedrooms are spacious: a family of 2 adults and 3 children was comfortably fitted in. The leisure centre and gym, children friendly pool, and a lovely outdoor hot tub for the adults provide perfect relaxation. Breakfast is good with amazing sausages seriously recommended: they are locally produced.

Good Communication and Golf

Wi-Fi is excellent and included in the room price. In addition to the hotel grounds, the golf course is very scenic and well maintained. Gerry in the golf shop came in for special praise: 'He always looks after us '.

Negative Reviews

Disappointed Foodie

It is very difficult to find any negative reactions to this establishment . Guests who was seriously impressed by the hotel and its ambiance felt that the quality of the food did not match that of the surroundings, and that breakfast was 'just OK' but saved by the fresh pain au chocolat.

Mattress Woe

For another guest the mattress on the bed was a bit too firm.

Fridge Free

The absence of a fridge in the guest room was noted, and the shower was temperamental when it came to delivering hot water -other rooms had newer showers installed- however housekeeping adjusted the shower for them.
