Positive Reviews

Dartmouth; the cream of Devon resorts.

Authentic olde worlde charm is in evidence throughout Dartmouth’s town centre, shops, restaurants and the Cherub’s Nest B+B! There’s plenty to see and do and the resorts of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham are only a short drive away.

Warm welcome and a pleasantly quirky B+B.

The B+B dates back to 1710 and like so much of Dartmouth, many original features have been retained. Modern conveniences such as television and en-suites have been added and the warmth of welcome from the owners strikes another note of authenticity.

Dartmouth is small, compact and flat.

Crammed with shops, pubs and restaurants, Dartmouth is very flat. Only the very brave or foolhardy would think of driving to town based destinations and the fact that it is very flat means there is easy access for young and old.

Negative Reviews

Don’t be fooled by the parking permit.

This only allows you to park if spaces are available. More often than not, they aren’t; so it’s money down the drain.

Dinky Dartmouth rooms.

In the 1700s, they didn’t demand the room space we expect today, so rooms are small. They’ve also had to cram in en-suites, so they seem even smaller. Cramped is the word.

Lack of breakfast privacy.

All guests sit round one table at breakfast. A nightmare for those who aren’t conversationalists first thing in the morning.
