Positive Reviews

The service and breakfast are excellent.

Reviews overwhelmingly praised the level of service and personal attention provided by the hosts, who are friendly, welcoming, and accommodating to the needs of their guests. The plentiful and delicious Scottish breakfast prepared by the owners is also frequently mentioned as a high point.

The rooms and bathrooms are top notch.

The suites are spacious, comfortable, and well-furnished. Guests had great things to say about the large and fully-equipped bathrooms as well, particularly the standing Victorian claw-foot tubs.

Idyllic location in the Scottish countryside.

Many reviewers described the location as perfect for anybody who wants a relaxing stay in the Scottish countryside. From the natural beauty and relaxing atmosphere of the environment to the nearby castles, gardens, and Scotch distilleries to explore, guests had nothing but good things to say about rural Crieff.

Negative Reviews

En suite bathrooms are not as convenient.

Some guests noted that the en suite bathrooms were not as convenient as the private ones, and that it may be worth it to book a room with its own bath. However, none complained of the quality of any of the bathrooms, with many stating that they are specious, very clean, and well-equipped.

Some guests did not prefer the communal breakfast.

A few people stated that sharing breakfast with the other guests at one long table in the morning was not their cup of tea, and that they would have preferred a more private dining experience first thing in the morning.

Some minor quibbles in the rooms.

Several guests had minor issues in the suites and bathrooms, such as overly soft mattresses, exposed appliance cabling, and lack of de-humidifiers to deal with bathroom moisture. None of these were reported as serious problems, however.
