Positive Reviews

Cozy accommodation in inspiring location

This cozy little hostel boasts just 26 beds, but those lucky enough to stay here felt privileged indeed. The rather quaint property rests in the shadow of a famed local mountain and the views from there are simply stunning. Many come to this part of the world as part of cycling, walking or mountaineering treks and while the location is perfect for these activities, guests know that this hostel is the perfect place to rest their heads after a long day in the great outdoors.

Stellar staff

The vast majority of guests came to know the hostel's two proprietors by name. The hosts here are by all accounts outstanding; they're warm and welcoming, keen to dispense local knowledge and directions and will even crack jokes with kids. All in all, it seems that there is very little that the team here won't or can't do for their guests.

Excellent food and good beds

The property's two outstanding hosts do all of the cooking and it's not all that surprising to learn that the meals here are fantastic. The cakes in particular seemed to be especially popular. Finally, the beds are outstanding too, with many commenting positively on the quality of their sleep here.

Negative Reviews

More room for drying

It's really hard to fault this hostel, but some guests - especially those who had been out getting muddy in the great outdoors - felt that the drying room here could be a bit bigger.

Mind your car

The track that leads up to this property is incredibly steep and rutted with potholes. Unfortunately, it did catch some guests - and their cars - by surprise.

Basic

This property sees quite a few first-time hostellers, some of whom were taken aback at the basic - if not spare - feel of the accommodation here.
