Positive Reviews

Friendly and engaged owners

The friendliness of the owners was perhaps what most impressed guests about Ginnie's. They are also described as very engaged, making sure that all the little things, that sometimes tend to fall by the wayside, were taken care of.

Great attention to detail

Many speak of being impressed with the inclusion of little unexpected things, like certain items in the bathroom amenity pack. Also, it seemed that if guests needed any reasonable amenity or service the hosts would be happy to try to procure what was needed if it wasn't already in the room.

Terrific breakfast

Again and again guests singled out the breakfast as a highlight of their stay. While most seemed to choose the regular English breakfast, others were happy that there were far more options, both cooked and continental style, available.

Negative Reviews

Breakfast ends a little too early

While not a common complaint, it was mentioned that the official cut-of time when the guest house stops serving breakfast was quite early, especially for the weekends. Late risers may want to discus their options with the hosts the day before.

External bathroom

It seems that at east one of the rooms has a private bathroom, but it is across the hallway, which may get a bit inconvenient for some. If so, it'll be best to requests another room if possible.

WW1 an WW2 memorabilia

While this might just as well be listed as a positive point, it was mentioned that the war memorabilia displayed in the guest house, including the photos and artefacts, might not be to everyone's taste.
