Positive Reviews

Marston’s with an added splash of character.

There’s a lot of charm generated by the staff in this Marston’s pub. They ensure that everything is up to scratch + that the pub/hotel offers the best possible value for money.

Great rooms.

Well maintained + cleaned, rooms score on both points. Comfortable beds are tip top too, so you’re bound to drop off quickly for a good night’s sleep.

Plenty of parking.

Don’t knock it! If staying in a city centre, the odds are that you’d be paying through the nose for parking spaces. Here, though, just roll up and park. Couldn’t be simpler!

Negative Reviews

Served by skeletons.

Delays are experienced when checking in at reception and on trying to get service at the bar. These areas seem to be operated by a small, well meaning, over burdened, skeleton staff.

Frying tonight ... + every night.

Fried dishes feature prominently in lunch and evening menus. Not to everyone’s taste. Would be good to have more healthier eating options.

Dated dining.

The pub/dining setting is dated and in need of an urgent refurb!
