Positive Reviews

Comfortable rooms; helpful owners

Rooms are clean and provided with all the basic amenities making it a very comfortable stay for the guests. They are not luxurious but good enough for a good stay. Guests were very impressed by the hospitality rendered by the owners and the staff members. They were courteous and attentive to all the needs of the guests.

Amazing location

The location of the hotel is very central. It is close to the station, pubs, restaurants and golf courses. The town centre is just a short walk away and the Wye Valley is a short drive. Guests loved the fascinating book stores and antique shops.

Good breakfast; budget accommodation

Many guests liked the breakfast served as well as the warm ambience of the dining hall. Guests felt that the charges for the accommodation were quite reasonable, which made it a good choice of stay.

Negative Reviews

Patchy Wi-Fi connection

Most of the guests who wanted to work online were disappointed to find that the Wi-Fi connection was very erratic. Moreover, the guests could not log in with the password that they were given at the front desk making it further annoying.

No onsite parking

Lack of an onsite parking was a huge hassle for most of the guests. Firstly, they found it difficult to get a parking space and secondly, it was chargeable.

Non-existent soundproofing

Some of the guests could hear their neighbours talking in the adjacent rooms as the rooms were not soundproofed well. This made it very difficult for guests to have a good night's sleep.
