Positive Reviews

Beautiful main house.

Guests comment on the beautiful location of the hotel, which is reportedly quiet and secluded, whilst being within easy distance of Northampton and the M1. Guests also comment that the original house, forming the main part of the hotel is a beautiful and characterful building.

Good food throughout the day.

Reviews concerning food are generally very positive, and guests comment that the food provided is excellent, from breakfast through to lunch and dinner. The breakfast seems to be a hot buffet, and guests comment that food is regularly re-stocked and is always hot and freshly prepared.

Plenty of amenities.

A number of guests comment on the fact that there are plenty of on-site amenities for guests to use, such a gym and spa area, which seem to be pleasant and well-run.

Negative Reviews

Old TVs.

A large number of reviews mention the old box TVs provided in the bedrooms. Guests comment that the TV signal is poor, and that newer, better quality TVs are expected in a four star hotel.

Mixed reviews regarding staff and service.

There seem to be mixed reviews regarding the staff and service provided at the hotel. In general, breakfast and waiting staff seem to be highly praised. However, there are a couple of accounts of unfriendly and unhelpful hotel staff.

Predominantly a business function venue.

Guests comment that this is very much a corporate venue, well suited to large business events and weddings, and less well suited to private, intimate breaks.
