Positive Reviews

Central location.

The location of the hotel is a hit with guests, and it's easy to see why. Positioned right in the centre of Chania, you'll be in walking distance of the old town's historic and cultural attractions, as well as just a few minutes' walk from the scenic port, making Elia Potie a great base.

Stylish and comfy rooms.

The rooms are stylish and comfortable, according to guests, who especially rate the four-poster king beds. You'll have plenty of space to relax in, and the rooms are up-to-date and well maintained, providing the kind of pleasant environment you want for a cultured getaway.

Balcony space.

The balconies are a welcome addition which guests love, since it provides a tranquil, private space where you can sit and enjoy the old town views. Early in the morning with a freshly-brewed coffee, or late at night with a glass of wine, it's your very own alfresco spot to enjoy.

Negative Reviews

Noisy bars.

Guests say that it can be quite noisy at night, owing to the fact that the hotel is located directly above several bars. It generally settles down after midnight, but if you're trying to get to sleep earlier than that, it may cause some disturbance.

Lots of stairs.

The lack of a lift at the hotel means that you'll have to lug your luggage up quite a number of stairs according to guests, so it's worth bearing in mind when booking - and when packing. Staff aren't always around to help, either.

No front desk.

Checking in and out can be a bit more hassle than it should be, since there's no reception desk located onsite - staff come from another nearby hotel when called, but some guests warn that you may have to hang around for a while for someone to arrive.
