Positive Reviews

Clean and functional rooms

Guests don't find the rooms at the Angel particularly luxurious but do find them clean and functional nonetheless. The beds are comfortable and guests appreciate having access to essentials such as tea/coffee making supplies and free Wi-Fi.

Central location

The central location of the hotel appeals to many guests. You'll be able to walk to the likes of Cardigan Castle, as well as area shops and dining. It's also easy to reach Cardigan Bay and explore the attractions dotted along the coast.

Good value for money

Guests tend to be of the opinion that they have enjoyed value for money here. The room rates appear to be competitive compared to other hotels in Cardigan and about right for the standards on offer.

Negative Reviews

Staffing arrangements

Several reviews highlight that the staff, although friendly and helpful, are not around until the designated check-in time of 3.30pm. This is fine if you're just arriving but if you've already checked in and need to ask a question, may cause some issues.

Some noise concerns

The hotel's nightclub is open on Friday and Saturday evenings. Although guests specifically mention that you can't hear music from the rooms, closing time is another issue entirely. Feedback indicates that people leaving the club can be very noisy.

Occasional lack of hot water

A small number of reviews refer to plumbing issues at the hotel, mainly relating to a lack of hot water for the showers. It's not a regular issue but does crop up from time to time.
