Positive Reviews

Well Cleaned.

The strong impression is that The King's Head is an informal, welcoming pub/hotel of character, where three guest rooms and their en-suite facilities have been shoe-horned into the old building. The rooms are very well cleaned, spotlessly presented, and

Characterful.

The rooms are small and very individual, as this is an old building, not a modern purpose-built hotel. Staying above a popular pub guests should bear in mind that silence will not descend (or rather arise!) until closing time, in fact one couple report:

Value.

Generally it seems that guests left the King's Head having enjoyed their stay, with the feeling that they had received very good value for their money. This includes the lady who reported: “Breakfast was fabulous and Mike and Ena were lovely hosts a and

Negative Reviews

Weak.

Coffee served with breakfast was found to be very weak.

Intrusive Light.

A guest suggested that the room he stayed in would be improved by the installation of a blackout blind to exclude the bright light from the shop opposite.

Bad Joke.

The car park is described as a “joke”, being a small path at the side. It's on a first come first served basis and not much of a joke reversing out of a tight alley onto a busy road.
